Beaver Lake Association Committees


Following are the official Standing Committees and the current Special Committees serving Beaver Lake Association. All committee members are volunteers and must be approved by the Board of Directors. Monthly Board meetings and other minutes will be posted in this section by the end of the month and placed in the archive when superseded.

Ad Hoc Committee

Chairman: Paul Mars


This committee is made up of seven past Presidents of the Beaver Lake Association Board of Directors. They meet only at the request of the current Board President. Their purpose is to investigate and report back on various projects and subjects that are pertinent to running the Association and regular membership. They provide stability and leadership to the current Board of Directors along with insights as to how to approach delicate subjects where second opinions or others options may be requested.

Appeals Committee

Chairperson: Lana Halstead


This committee's purpose is to review any appeals of the regular membership of the Association regarding Beaver Lake Association By-Laws, Rules and Regulations, Fines and Building Codes. The Appeals Committee will determine if a variance should be granted or if a fine should be waived.

Finance Committee

Chairman: Lou Soukup

The Finance Committee will be an advisor to the Board of Directors, the membership of which shall consist of a Chairperson and Member-at-large selected by the Board of Directors; the Business Manager, the Operations Manager and the Treasurer of the Board of Directors. The Chairperson, Member-at-Large and Treasurer shall be voting members-two of which shall make a quorum.

Lake and Habitat Committee

This committee is charged with the maintenance of the lake and lakebed, shorelines, silt ponds, dredging, public docks, plus stocking of fish and related programs.

Property and Safety Committee

This committee is charged with the maintenance, development and safety of the access areas, dam, lake, reserve lots, special usage lots, clubhouse complex, campgrounds, equipment, vehicles and roads, plus those duties and obligations which are from time to time assigned by the Board of Directors.

Utility Committee

Chairman: Bill Culver


This committee is charged with the responsibility of recommending to the Board of Directors regarding on-going maintenance, short and long range planning and budgeting for the quality supply of water, distribution of the same, the collections of sewage, treatment and disposal of same.

Web Site Steering Group

Chairman: Rick Croasdale

This Steering Group is currently chartered to develop a specification and set of recommendations to present to the Board of Directors for the content and management of the Beaver Lake website, newsletter, and other information concerns as needed to assist with the information interchange between the Board of Directors and the membership. Specific responsibilities at this time include the maintenance and updates to the Beaver Lake Association Web Site.
