My name is Cathy Brink.  My husband Chuck and I have lived at Beaver Lake full time since 1989.  We raised our three daughters here and they have all attended and graduated from the Conestoga schools.  We have 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  We enjoy hosting large family gatherings here at the lake and Chuck and I enjoy cruising on summer evenings in our pontoon boat.  We owned and operated the Marina here at Beaver Lake for 22 years until April of 2023, when we sold it and retired.   Beaver Lake is a unique place, and we love our community.  My goal is to maintain the lake community as a place for all of us to enjoy, whether it be watersports, fishing or just cruising the water.  While I may not partake in certain activities, I understand that others do, so I strive to keep an open mind when making decisions on behalf of this community.  Balance is the key, and I like to have as much information as possible when making decisions.  I am always open to a civil conversation and welcome your input on any topic regarding the lake.   Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.  I won’t always be able to help you, but I will always try.

I’ve been enjoying Beaver Lake since 1987 initially as a guest, then as a property owner, and for the past 10 years as a home owner. My family enjoys the lake, beach, and neighborhood. My oldest daughter graduated from Conestoga and my younger will be a senior this fall. Family, gardening, and fishing are my passion and I hit the lake for fishing an average of 60 days a year. I’ve been a member of the Lake, Fish, and Habitat committee or a Board rep to the committee for 15 years running. I’m the Beaver lake Fishing Club secretary and tournament director. I’ve also supported Beaver Lake fund raising activities in multiple ways for years.

My name is Jon Baumgart, and I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the Beaver Lake Association Board. Having called this beautiful community home since 1995, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing its growth and experiencing the unique charm it offers. Now, I am eager to give back and contribute to its continued success.

As one of the proud owners of the Beaver Lake Marina, I am deeply invested in the well-being of our lake and its surrounding areas. My daily interactions with fellow residents and visitors have given me valuable insights into the needs and concerns of our community.

From leisurely boat rides to peaceful fishing trips, I have always cherished the recreational opportunities Beaver Lake provides. I understand the importance of preserving our natural resources while enhancing the overall experience for everyone.

My decision to run for the Association Board stems from a genuine desire to serve. I believe in open communication, collaborative problem-solving, and proactive leadership. Together, we can ensure that Beaver Lake remains a place where families create lasting memories and friendships flourish.

I am committed to listening to your voices, advocating for your interests, and implementing positive changes where needed. Whether it’s improving infrastructure, enhancing safety measures, or fostering a stronger sense of community, I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work.

With your support, I am confident that we can navigate the challenges ahead and embrace the opportunities that lie before us. Let’s work together to make Beaver Lake an even better place to live, play, and thrive.

My name is Lindsey Barrett and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Beaver Lake Association Board of Directors.  I have been blessed to call our Association home for over 25 years.  Growing up here, I had the privilege of serving as a lifeguard for many years and volunteering for various community and fund-raising events.  Raising my son here has been my greatest joy. We both love using our facilities and the lake for boating, swimming, fishing and other activities and being a part of this special place, we call home.

I currently run my own Interior Design Firm and have had the pleasure to work with many members of our community on their homes.  My background in Business and ethics is what I take pride in.  I have served on previous nonprofit boards and I’m fully committed to serving our Association as a Board member.

I believe in listening to the members and working together as a team.  If elected to the Board of Directors, one of my main objectives is establishing a business strategy and financial plan to address current and future major infrastructure projects and improvements.  I am an advocate for not relying on selling our Beaver Lake properties that are owned by the Association membership.  These properties are critical to the stability of our community.  Executing a business strategy and financial plan will help us fund these projects without selling our appreciating properties that are used by our members, families and guests.

I have attended numerous Board meetings over the years and have listened to the community concerns.  I believe in honest open communication.  I am committed to hearing your comments before making sound decisions. I also believe that the Board actions need to conform with our Beaver Lake Association regulations, rules and procedures and that they comply with the Nebraska nonprofit corporation act statutes.

Thank you for your consideration and I would very much appreciate your vote.
